We named this ministry Bud and Bumble, Inc. for two reasons. We have a separate division of Bud and Bumble, Inc. where we deliver monthly flowers to nursing home patients. We are currently working on developing a seasonal program to bless community seniors with a flowering plant kit along with cheerful notes to thank them for all they have done and to let them know they are not forgotten. We believe they will enjoy watching their seasonal flower buds bloom so that is why we have “Bud” in Bud and Bumble, Inc.
The word "Bumble" contains the symbolic reason behind the organization.
I have always loved the story of the bumble bee. I often heard that a bumble bee's wings are too small to fly compared with its body. It was a mystery how they could fly when they are not aerodynamically able to do so.
Then one day, I heard a different explanation on the bumble bee. It is not impossible for a bumble bee to fly, but rather it does not hover well in place for more than a short time. That is why we see them buzzing up and down as they are out and about. They keep busy doing the good they do with pollination.
My Father was such a powerful source of strength and encouragement. His sudden passing has made us even more determined to do the good we can do and not to grow stagnant in life. There are a lot of hurting people out there who need to know that we care about them and that better days are ahead. We want to encourage those who God enables us to reach.
